School Tours

Interested students and families are invited to schedule a school tour to learn more about Edgewood first hand. This is a chance to walk the halls, look in on classes, get a feel for our community and ask questions.

When: Scheduled most Monday-Thursdays between 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Length: Approx. 75 minutes

Shadow Day Program

While shadowing isn’t a required part of the application process, it's an excellent chance for your 8th, 9th, or 10th grader to experience what life at EHS is like! During their visit, students will attend classes, walk the hallways, hear from teachers, and get a sense of the school's social atmosphere by spending the day with a current student. Each shadow will be paired with a student ambassador from the grade they'll be entering, ensuring a match based on similar academic interests, co-curricular activities, or even middle school backgrounds. At EHS, we work hard to make all visitors feel welcome, and shadowing is a great way to immerse in our community! 

When: Scheduled most Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays between the last week of September and the first week of May.
Time: 7:40 a.m. -  3:30 p.m. (see extended schedule below)

Typical Schedule - 

• 7:40 a.m.  Shadow students arrive at the main office
  • Your child will be introduced to their ambassador for the day.
• 7:50 a.m.  Classes begin
  • Shadows will attend 8 class periods (we call them 'mods') and lunch with their ambassador.
  • Throughout the day, the ambassador will introduce your child to all of their teachers and friends, as well as provide a short tour of the school.
  • Shadows are encouraged to participate in classes as much as possible, however, we also recommend bringing a book or homework along for study periods.
• 3:30 p.m.  Classes end
  • Parents should pick their child up in the main office.
