Boys Golf Secures Second State Title

Crusaders Earn Repeat Championship
Edgewood claimed their second straight boys golf state title on June 5 at the University Ridge Golf Course in Verona. Edgewood now has 11 gold and silver trophies since 2001.

The Crusaders shot a final-round of 302 and won the state title with a 605 total, six strokes better than last year.

Senior Drew Arndt shot a two-day total of 150 (+6) to finish second individually behind Lakeside's Lukas Heckmann. Senior Rory Gierhart battled for the lead until a triple-bogey on the 13th hole.

Matthew Phelan, Rory Gierhart, James Gilmore and Karl Gilmore are the members of the winning team. Read more about the golf championships on the Wisconsin Golf website.
